Bibby, Kings rally past Nets

Basketball Betting Lines

01/23/2007 - Sacramento, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Mike Bibby scored Sacramento's final 15 points, hitting the go-ahead jumper with 10.3 seconds left, as the Kings completed a rally from a 20-point third quarter deficit for an 88-87 win over the New Jersey Nets.

Ron Artest scored 21 points and Bibby added 16 for Sacramento, which won for just the second time in 10 games.

Mikki Moore had 22 points for New Jersey, while Jason Kidd logged the 83rd triple-double of his career with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. The Nets had a four-game winning streak broken.

Moore's two free throws with 6:38 left had the Nets ahead 85-76, but New Jersey squandered that advantage. Bibby put in a reverse layup, a three- pointer, and then completed a three-point play to get his team within 85-84 with 1:43 remaining.

Kidd's layup carried the Nets to an 87-84 edge with 48.1 seconds left before Bibby hit two from the foul line nearly eight seconds later.

Moore then couldn't handle the ball under the basket after a low pass from Vince Carter, and the Kings gained possession with 23.7 seconds left.

Bibby's jumper from just inside the three-point line missed, and Brad Miller missed on a follow try. The ball was then tapped back to Bibby, who swished his shot from the key.

The Nets had one final chance, with Kidd going strong to the basket, but the ball rattled in and out of the basket as time expired.

Kevin Martin had 10 points and Miller 10 boards for the Kings, who won despite shooting 37.2 percent from the field.

Eddie House had 12 points for New Jersey, which led 47-45 at the half and lengthened that to 73-53 with 2:49 remaining in the third following a jumper from Clifford Robinson. It was 76-64 going into the fourth.
