02/23/2007 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - After surviving a scare against Sacramento, the Washington Wizards hope they have an easier time tonight when they begin a three-game road trip against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
The Wizards have won three in row and had to hold their collective breaths against the Kings on Thursday before posting a 109-106 win.
Washington led by as much as 17 in the final quarter, but led by just the slim margin of 107-106 after the Kings' John Salmons hit a three-pointer with 1.4 seconds left.
An error by Sacramento, which fouled Jarvis Hayes before the ball was inbounded, allowed Hayes to hit a free throw and the Wizards to then keep possession. Gilbert Arenas was then fouled, but hit just 1-of-2 with 0.7 seconds to go.
The Kings' Brad Miller then hit Salmons on a long inbounds pass, and Salmon drilled a trey that was initially ruled a two-pointer, but it didn't matter as it was eventually determined the shot came out after time expired anyway.
Arenas had 43 points and also had seven rebounds, seven assists and nine turnovers, while Caron Butler ended with 25 points and DeShawn Stevenson had 21 for the Wizards.
The Southeast-leading Wizards are 10-14 on the road this year and will also travel to Minnesota and New Jersey on their brief road swing.
The Bulls were also in action on Thursday when the knocked off the Cleveland Cavaliers, 84-78. Luol Deng scored 18 points, and Ben Wallace had a 14-point, 19-rebound, seven-block performance in the win.
Ben Gordon scored 16 points and grabbed seven boards for the Bulls, who won their second straight. Kirk Hinrich added 11 points for Chicago.
Chicago is a healthy 21-7 at home this year and trails Detroit by 4 1/2 games for the lead in the Central Division. The Bulls will visit the Pistons on Sunday before beginning a three-game homestand.
Tonight's game marks the third of four meetings between the clubs this year. Each team has won on its home floor thus far, but the Bulls have won four of the last six overall.
The Bulls have won five straight over the Wizards at home in the series. Washington's last win in Chicago during the regular season came on October 29, 2003. The teams will wrap their season series on April 15 in Washington.

March Madness odds and printable March Madness brackets
With the field of 64/65 set, MySportsbook.com has the Florida Gators as the 4-1 favorite to successfully defend their National Championship. Men’s Division-1 College Basketball has not seen a team repeat as National Champions since Duke won back to back championships in ’91 & ‘92. After losing three out of four late in the season, the Gators are full of momentum as they won their last four games by an average of 18 points. Not surprisingly, right behind the Gators are the other three top seeds: Kansas 5-1, UNC 6-1, and Ohio State 7-1. Many consider Kansas to be the hottest team in the country, having won 11 straight. With Kansas, it is hard to ignore all of the early exits from the “dance” in recent years. With an impressive ACC Tournament, UNC ensured themselves the other top seed. UNC has about as much talent as any other team in the tournament but with a team that’s best players are primarily freshman and sophomores, could youth be a concern. Behind freshman sensation, Greg Oden, OSU will look to do what their football team failed to do just a few months earlier. OSU seems to have peeked at the right time, as they currently have a 17 game winning streak. Since the tournament field was expanded in 1985, there has never been an instance where all four #1 seeds advanced to the Final Four. It is obvious that each of the top seeds have the talent to make it through to Atlanta. But as everyone knows, when makes the NCAA Tournament so special are all of the spoilers and “Cinderella” stories that knock off the favorites on a daily basis.
